Thank you very much for participating in BaSAAR

The Ministry of Science and Research of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg has set up a new funding program that aims at establishing international research collaboration in accordance with the internationalization strategy of the Senate of Hamburg. Initially, the Baltic Sea Region is in the focus of the funding program. The goal of the program is the promotion of joint research proposals, e.g., for Horizon 2020, INTERREG, or ERASMUS+.

The Baltic Seminar on Ambient Assisted Recovery (BaSAAR) is part of the Baltic Sea Region agenda of Hamburg. BaSAAR is hosted by the initiative “Fail Safety in Ambient Assistance for Recovery” (AA4R) at Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH). For BaSAAR, the AA4R team invites around 10 medical device specialists from the Baltic Sea Region to discuss future trends in fail-safe ambient assisted recovery and therapy. The goal of the seminar is to lay the foundation for an international research agenda on fail safety in AA4R.

TUHH will compensate for accommodation and travel expenses in compliance with
legal regulations.

The venue of BaSAAR is located at TUHH.
Am Schwarzenberg-Campus 1, 21073 Hamburg

of concepts beyond the current state of art. Topics of interest range from hardware
to software and communication. They cover a wide variety of aspects of highintegrity
networked medical device systems for remote therapy, recovery, or
rehabilitation including, but not limited to:
